Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) professional working at the dayshift location. This role involves providing advanced perioperative nursing care in a Level II Trauma center, supporting a variety of general and specialized surgical procedures including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, neuro, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, bariatric, and robotic surgeries. The position requires effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and prioritization of emergent and urgent cases to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license valid in MD state or a valid Compact state license, BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred. No minimum experience specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, robotics, and diverse surgical specialties. Experience in a Level II Trauma center is preferred.
- Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Support for a broad range of surgical procedures including general, trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, neuro, GYN, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, bariatric, and DaVinci robotics.
- Unit Details: The OR team supports adult and geriatric patient populations. Prior experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
- Responsibilities: Assist with perioperative patient care, communicate effectively with surgical and anesthesia teams, manage patient acuity, and support intraoperative activities in a fast-paced trauma unit.
- Schedule and Rotation: Working 8-hour shifts during the day with a minimum weekly commitment of 40 hours. The assignment runs from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026, with required weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.
- Submission Requirements: Active MD state or Compact RN license, BLS certification, and compliance with onboarding deadlines.
