Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor care is needed for a nights shift position in the region. The role involves providing high-quality patient care for adult and geriatric populations, with a focus on orthopedic and joint procedures. The position offers a dynamic environment with interdisciplinary support and diverse clinical responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for Maryland or a Compact State, BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred; 0 years minimum experience; valid MD or Maryland license at time of submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, 6 months of patient ratio experience, familiarity with Epic charting system, experience with trauma level I or II, community hospital experience, and LTAC experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS, CPI (Calm Every Storm online version), ACLS, NIHSS preferred
• Skills: Managing ports, blood product administration, chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, CVA care, insulin administration, PPE and isolation precautions, Med/Surg management, oxygen therapy, PCA, PICC line management, IV start and management, surgical drains, total joint replacement care, tracheostomy care, rapid response and code team procedures, wound care, and wound vac management
• Patient Age Range: Adults and Geriatrics
• Additional Information:
  • Floating within the specialty, other units, and sister facilities may be required
  • No on-call duties
  • Travel experience not required
  • Mandatory compliance with vaccination and onboarding processes, including labs within 72 hours of signing contract and submission of required modules 5 days prior to start date
  • Auto acceptance of offer without interview required
  • Schedule restrictions are not guaranteed; candidates must be comfortable floating as needed
  • Return travelers must be away for at least 6 months after completing the assignment
  • Former staff must be absent for 12 months before returning as a traveler
