Description

Job Summary:
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Nurse in Puyallup, WA. This position involves providing high-quality obstetric care in a Level III Trauma Center with a focus on antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum services. The role requires experienced clinical skills to support a diverse patient population, including high-risk pregnancies and perinatal patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a rotation every other weekend
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, certification in fetal monitoring (AWHONN or Relias module), minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, obstetric and antepartum clinical skills including cervical exams, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV management, Pitocin, and couplet care
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with antepartum and postpartum care, NICU experience for patients 34 weeks and below, familiarity with HUGS security system, Pyxis medication dispensing system, and Epic Stork electronic medical record system
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes facility and unit-specific training, with annual core competencies in HIPAA and OSHA, medication exam, and unit competency exam. Shifts will be either 0700-1900 or 1900-0700, scheduled in 3-week cycles.
