Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in an acute care environment. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, performing comprehensive assessments, coordinating treatment plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and documentation, ensuring optimal outcomes for a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, ACLS certification (CIRH only), a minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience, and relevant education or certifications as needed
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care or similar setting, strong patient assessment skills, and excellent communication abilities
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to meet clinical and educational needs. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record. Initiates discharge planning from day one and provides patient education geared toward safe and effective discharge. Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation and actively participates in team activities to promote a positive work environment. Demonstrates commitment to professional development through ongoing education. Prioritizes patient activities efficiently and promotes safety and cost-effective care in compliance with policies.
