Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical responsibilities according to accepted standards. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, provide health education and counseling, and execute medical and nursing treatments. The position requires flexibility, including potential float duties within scope of competency, and may include on-call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited nursing school; current RN license in the state of practice; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS (American Heart Association); minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; previous experience as an RN in ICU; additional certifications relevant to ICU nursing are preferred.
- Additional Information: The RN will perform health data assessments, develop and monitor treatment plans, provide health teaching and counseling, and ensure proper documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Flexibility to float to other departments and on-call duties may be required based on operational needs.
