Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare setting located within the United States. This role involves providing specialized maternal and newborn care, including managing labor and delivery processes, utilizing electronic fetal monitoring, and supporting patients through various stages of pregnancy and childbirth. The position requires the ability to work 12-hour days, primarily during daytime shifts, with a focus on patient safety, documentation, and clinical skills.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district; minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; certifications in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired; current Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification; experience with patient populations including females of childbearing years, pregnant patients at 17 weeks gestation and beyond, with competencies in labor, scheduled procedures such as cesarean sections and external cephalic versions, pre-op and post-delivery care, and triage.

  • Additional Information: The assigned activity includes managing admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-operative preparation, and delivery procedures, with equipment core to the role including fetal monitors and documentation systems such as Cerner and Fetalink.
