Description
Job Summary:
Dialysis Unit Nurse specializing in dialysis treatments, located in an outpatient setting. This position involves providing care to patients undergoing dialysis procedures, adhering to protocols and safety standards, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team. The assignment requires flexibility to work rotating shifts over a three-month period.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating Shift, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Iowa (IA) license or compact/multistate license, at least 12 months of current dialysis experience, specific skills checklist for dialysis, BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC/Red Cross, high school diploma or equivalent, Valid drivers license
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Fresenius equipment, previous travel dialysis experience of at least 15 months, references from recent supervisors or charge nurses within the past 24 months
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information:
- First-time travelers are welcome with at least 15 months of dialysis experience
- Orientation dates are scheduled for 09/08/2026 and 09/21/2026, with 09/08/2026 preferred
- The unit has 6 beds with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, some 1:1 care, and uses Fresenius equipment
- Scrubs are acceptable in any color tops and bottoms, solids only
- Candidates must be prepared to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) if the unit remains open
