Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in a healthcare facility located in Illinois. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric oncology patients with a focus on chemotherapy administration and management. The role requires adherence to established clinical protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient treatment and recovery.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse
• Location: Illinois
• Schedule: 3x12 Days shifts from 7:15 AM to 6:45 PM, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license, at least 1 year of experience in oncology nursing, BLS certification, Chemotherapy Certification (Preferred), experience with chemotherapy administration, IV therapy skills, charting experience (Cerner preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience in trauma level I trauma center, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, travel experience, certifications in OCN, and additional oncology or infusion-specific skills
• Responsibilities include: administration of chemotherapy, management of ports and central lines, handling body fluids post-chemotherapy, recognizing abnormal lab values, and providing patient and family education
• Additional Info: Open to first-time travelers, minimal RTO restrictions, must have active IL license or be in application process, open to accommodating block schedules, and willing to float within scope as needed
