Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology Floor is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in a designated healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, implementing treatment plans, educating patients and families, and maintaining compliance with all relevant standards and policies. The RN promotes a patient-centered and healing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and effective care delivery in accordance with professional standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm), 36 hours per week, scheduled for days.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; five-plus (5+) years of direct experience; collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning (organizing, time management), problem solving, quality, reliability, safety and risk management; current NYS RN License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; professional certification in a related nursing specialty; relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the home unit assigned.
• Additional Information: The RN will follow all United Health Services values, support the Nursing Shared Governance Model, participate in professional development and continuing education, and provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Chemotherapy immunotherapy certification and chemo administration experience are highly preferred but not required.
