Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Nights This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting during night shifts. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient-centered care, ensuring safety, and promoting health and recovery within the healthcare organization. This role emphasizes adherence to professional practice standards, effective communication, and ongoing professional development.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-night shifts per week, totaling 36 hours, with every other weekend off.
• Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS certification (American Heart Association, HSI, or American Red Cross); Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; Management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; Five or more (5+) years of direct nursing experience; Strong collaboration, communication, judgment, critical thinking, organizational skills, planning, problem solving, quality focus, reliability, and safety and risk management skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; professional certification in a related nursing specialty; relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
• Additional Information: The RN will provide holistic care, utilizing pharmacological knowledge to safely administer medications, participating in shared governance initiatives, engaging in professional development and continuing education, and supporting a healing environment aligned with organizational values. The position may require adaptability in responding to patient needs and operational demands.
