Description
Job Summary:
Mother/Baby Nurse Labor and Delivery Maternal Newborn Care in a hospital setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for postpartum mothers and their newborns, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The position is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing specialized knowledge and clinical skills to support recovery and healthy outcomes for both mother and baby.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice or a valid compact RN license, BLS certification, experience in maternal and newborn care, and successful completion of clinical performance competencies.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and professional certification in obstetric or neonatal nursing.
- Additional Information: The position involves direct patient care for mother/baby pairs, including assessments, care plan implementation, education, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting care accurately and timely, and supporting patient education and family involvement throughout the postpartum and neonatal periods. The assignment duration is from 08/31/2026 to 11/28/2026.
