Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Neuro ICU Located in the area of the healthcare organization. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients with neurological diagnoses, in a teaching hospital setting. The role requires clinical expertise in neuro diagnoses, surgical and medical, with the ability to manage complex patient needs during night shifts.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for 12-hour night shifts, with orientation occurring every other Monday.
  • Required Qualifications: 2+ years of clinical experience in ICU, valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications. Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a similar setting. Must have COVID / Flu vaccination or declination on record.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Responsibilities: All travelers are expected to float as needed; prior travel experience is required for all Centra positions. Charge responsibility may be required, with appropriate training and pay differential.
  • Additional Information: This role involves working with patients diagnosed with neurological conditionsboth surgical and medicaland utilizing various medical equipment including vital signs monitors, glucometers, wound vacuums, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, oxygen delivery devices, and more. Candidates should have experience with teaching hospital environments, and be prepared to contribute to a supportive team culture in interaction with students and new hires.
