Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals requiring intermediate monitoring and treatment. The RN oversees co-workers, delegates appropriate tasks, and ensures adherence to established facility policies, procedures, and guidelines. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and effective communication within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio; completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)); CPR certification; previous Registered Nursing experience preferred; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions; critical thinking skills.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will provide quality patient care based on assessment needs and established care pathways. Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, medication administration, and reporting pertinent observations to physicians. Responsible for ensuring equipment and supplies are available and reporting any malfunctions. Position involves physical demands including frequent patient handling activity, with exertion levels exceeding medium work. Must demonstrate emotional regulation, empathy, confidence, and ability to manage urgent situations calmly. Cognitive skills important for prioritization, observation, and accurate reporting.
