Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nursing position in a healthcare facility. The role involves continuous patient monitoring, airway management, symptom and pain control, assessment of surgical sites for complications, and documentation of patient care. The position requires effective communication with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and post-operative recovery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license, BLS (AHA) certification, 2 years PACU experience, Michigan state license
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Key responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and consciousness levels, managing airway patency and respiratory function, administering medications for symptom relief, assessing surgical sites for bleeding or complications, and maintaining accurate patient records. On call nights and weekends are required on a rotation basis, with weekend on call limited to weekends only.
