Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Location: Carmel, Indiana. This position involves providing direct nursing care within a 16-bed Medical Surgical (MS) and Orthopedic (Ortho) unit. The role requires coordinating patient care, implementing care plans, and monitoring patient conditions across a busy hospital unit.

Job Details

Position Description: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Unit Description: 16-bed Medical Surgical unit combined with 16-bed Orthopedic unit, functioning as one team. Staff float between both areas based on patient needs.
Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts totaling at least 36 hours per week. Weekends are rotated every 3 weeks, with holiday coverage as required.
Required Qualifications: Valid Nursys license, Driver's License or State ID, Ascension Profile, two professional references, and an updated resume. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) is a plus.
