Description
Job Summary:
Endoscopy Laboratory (Endoscopy Lab) in a healthcare setting is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to support the endoscopy procedures. This role involves assisting with various endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. The position requires maintaining flexibility to support day shifts and call hours over the assignment duration.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), no minimum experience required, and ability to support endoscopic procedures such as Colonoscopy, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Bronchoscopy/Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS). Must be capable of floating to support multiple procedures and unit needs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with endoscopic procedures like ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy/EUS, EGD, and Colonoscopy.
- Floater: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves supporting a unit with 5 procedure rooms, 15 staff members including 5 RNs and 5 endo techs during day shifts. Patient ratios are 1:1, with a typical case load that includes ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy/EUS, EGD, and Colonoscopy procedures. Call coverage is approximately 4-7 days per month.
