Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position in a healthcare organization. This role involves providing direct patient care within the ICU, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. The position emphasizes patient and staff safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development, with an expectation of delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) prior to first shift. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only). At least 2 years of bedside clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an Intensive Care Unit.
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, contributing to individualized care plans. Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicates patient status updates effectively to ensure continuity of care. Provides supervision and direction to ancillary nursing staff, fosters a collaborative team environment, and maintains compliance with safety and hospital policies. Assumes charge responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues professional growth through continuing education.
