Description
Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician in an acute hospital setting, specializing in neuro, spine, and cardiac instrumentation. The position is located within a healthcare facility and involves working evening shifts. The technician will support sterile processing operations, ensuring instrument decontamination, sterilization, and proper handling per hospital protocols. The role requires compliance with certification standards and maintaining sterile processing standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification from CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management); at least 1 year of experience in an acute hospital environment, particularly with neuro, spine, and cardiac instrumentation; valid Compact State License.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in neuro, spine, and cardiac surgery instrumentation, and familiarity with hospital sterilization protocols.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work the scheduled evenings and meet all scheduling and holiday commitments, including working 3 of the 5 designated holidays. All qualifications must be met at submission; local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this travel assignment. Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience in an acute hospital setting and hold a valid Compact license.
