Job Summary:
Telemetry Nursing in a hospital setting involves delivering specialized care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and support. This position is located within a fast-paced medical-surgical environment, where the Clinical Nurse provides safe, competent, and high-quality patient care based on research, evidence-based practices, and professional standards. The role emphasizes collaboration, patient safety, and ongoing professional development.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS, ACLS, Telemetry experience, Ventilator management skills, Critical Care Nursing experience, Minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year travel experience for travel positions (not necessary for Per Diem), EPIC experience highly preferred, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred unless combined with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC experience, process improvement knowledge, high reliability principles, clinical documentation skills, charge nurse duties, resource management, patient throughput facilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, modified primary nursing, evidence-based practice, service recovery, purposeful hourly rounding, quality improvement initiatives.
