Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Houston, Texas. This position involves working in a busy surgical unit with a focus on various open and laparoscopic procedures across multiple specialties. The role requires flexibility with shifts, which may include 2x12-hour days and 2x8-hour days, with weekends on rotation. The selected candidate will be part of a team delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 40 hours per week, with shift hours totaling 10 hours each day.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 0 years experience, familiarity with open and laparoscopic cases in GEN (general), GYN (gynecology), GU (genitourinary), and Pediatric surgeries. Experience in open and laparoscopic procedures is mandatory.
- Preferred Qualifications: Robotic surgery experience is highly desirable.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit has 9 beds and operates with a team of seasoned staff including RN (Registered Nurse) and CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) on day shifts from 7 am to 3 pm, 7 am to 5 pm, and 7 am to 7 pm, with on-call duties. The environment emphasizes a professional dress code with burgundy scrubs for RNs and royal blue for staff.
