Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Days location unspecified. This role requires providing perioperative care within a busy surgical unit. The candidate will participate in a variety of surgical procedures, including general, vascular, endoscopic, robotics-assisted, urology, ENT, orthopedic, podiatry, and other specialties, excluding neuro and trauma. The position involves working scheduled days with a standard workweek and floating within the division as needed.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, approximately 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of operating room experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification is preferred.
- Additional Information: Cerner electronic medical record system is used. No scrubbing required but beneficial. Charge nurse and OR technician support available. Current staffing allows for 3-4 nights every 4 weeks and every second or third weekend rotations, which may adjust to every 3rd or 4th weekend when fully staffed. The unit is located within such distance from nearby cities as Sacramento, Napa Valley, San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Yosemite, and The Mystery Spot. Housing options include RV accommodations at designated regional parks.
