Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in an acute care setting. This position involves supporting a busy operating room with a variety of cases, including general surgery, vascular, orthopedic, endoscopy, and urology. The role requires Cerner electronic charting system experience and a minimum of two years of relevant OR experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts starting at 10:30 a.m., with night, weekend, and holiday call rotations required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum 2 years of OR experience; Cerner electronic charting system experience; valid license to submit not required; BSN not required; location preferences not specified; minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting CVOR programs and strong open heart surgery support preferred; scrub techs with CVOR experience may be considered for mid-shift support starting at 10:30 a.m. and flexible shift durations (8 or 12 hours).
- Additional Information: The hospital maintains a cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shift cancellations per 13-week assignment or 3 per shorter duration, with full shift hours paid in lieu of cancellations. Shift start is at 10:30 a.m., with rotating call responsibility.
