Description

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves assisting interventional radiologists with imaging invasive procedures, coordinating schedules, and supporting various imaging modalities including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound (US), and radiology staff. The position is suitable for RNs with experience in interventional radiology procedures, spanning inpatient and outpatient environments, working primarily during day shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology; valid license to submit; must have experience with imaging procedures such as Para's, Thora's, biopsies, and drainage; knowledge of Cerner electronic medical record system; and familiarity with MRI Safe Pumps and EKG monitors.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Assist interventional radiologists with procedures, support during sedations, PIV placement, and patient monitoring. RN will not scrub in but may support sterile procedures by wearing sterile gloves and holding pressure. Support is needed for IR MD, CT, MRI, US, and radiology staff. The team includes an Imaging Director and manager on-site during weekdays with nurse charge rotations. The role requires day shifts with rotation through different shifts for orientation purposes. No weekend or after-hours call required.
