Description
Job Summary:
Lactation and Delivery Nurse in a Labor and Delivery Department located in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients, with an emphasis on labor, delivery, and postpartum support. The role requires flexibility to meet the demands of the unit and to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE (Stability program for neonatal care), and a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility. Certification in NRP and BLS is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor and Delivery, ability to work independently, excellent communication skills.
- Additional Information: The position is open for approximately three months, with a start date of 08/31/2026 and an end date of 11/30/2026. It may require to float to other units within the facility. Scrub colors/dress code adherence is expected. The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system.
