Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Nurse in the Massachusetts region. This position involves delivering comprehensive patient care through the nursing process in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role requires collaboration with healthcare team members, adherence to safety and clinical protocols, and a commitment to high-quality patient service.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN); currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current Basic Life Support certification; pass the CCHC Pharmacology Exam prior to start date; pass the CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam prior to start date; Med/Surg experience in an acute care facility within the last two years.
- Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience; PCI (Cardiac Catheterization) Course; experience managing post-cardiac surgery/telemetry patients and post-cardiac intervention patients, including femoral sheath monitoring; experience with post-cardiac cath and post-pacer patients; chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and practicum; CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) Certification; drug certification; experience with hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, ventilated patients, and procedural sedation; orthopedic certification.
- Additional Information: This role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, participating in patient education, supporting clinical safety protocols, and serving as a resource for staff. Certifications such as ACLS are preferred, along with telemetry experience and specific clinical skills relevant to cardiac, oncology, and surgical care.
