Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse - Marquette, Michigan. This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized 225-bed healthcare facility with a focus on trauma, neuro, ortho, and pediatric patients. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support patients across all age groups, over 28 days.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS and PALS certifications; Michigan nursing license; 2+ years of adult experience; 2+ years of pediatric experience; experience in trauma, orthopedics, neuro, or general pediatrics; ADN degree; experience with electronic health record systems (Paragon and Cerner); experience with neuro/ortho/peds patient populations
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification
• Additional Job Information:
  • Inpatient hospital setting with a 24-bed neuro/ortho/peds unit, level 2 trauma.
  • Patient ratios approximately 1:6, caring for all ages over 28 days.
  • Equipment includes EHR systems transitioning from Paragon to Cerner by March 1, 2024.
  • Unit requires teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with trauma, ortho, neuro, and general pediatric care preferred.
  • Dress code: Scrubs in galaxy blue.
  • Location considerations: candidates must be at least 60 miles from the facility, with local resources available for housing.
