Description

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) specialty position is located in an non-profit community healthcare provider offering various cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role involves monitoring and administering conscious sedation, assessing patients' clinical status, and supporting communication within the patient care team. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and effective operation of hemodynamic support equipment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 0700-1730, with approximately 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 2 years of experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation, assessing and monitoring clinical status of patients, with knowledge of medications used in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory; understanding of radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support; proficiency in communicating with patient care team, patients, and their families; valid licensure or certifications as specified.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interventional radiology, EP mapping and ablation, implantable devices, and vascular diagnostic procedures is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: This position covers patient care for cardiac diagnostic and interventional cases, including electrophysiology and vascular procedures. The clinician will utilize EPIC and Merge electronic medical records systems.
  • Float: None
  • Weekend rotation: No, weekends are covered by call only.
  • On call: Weekend call approximately every 4th weekend from Friday at 1700 through Monday at 0700; weekday call one time per week from end of shift till 0700 next morning.
