Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry professionals are sought for a healthcare organization in a night shift position. This role involves delivering patient-centered care to diverse populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patients. The position requires self-studying telemetry strips and passing a basic dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment to qualify for work on the telemetry/medical surgical unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications/Education/Experience: Valid license or certification, ERIC EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months, 0 years of experience minimum required
- Required Qualifications: ACLS certification, current license/certificate verification, ERIC EMR experience in a relevant unit within the past 12 months, ability to self-study telemetry strips and pass a dysrhythmia test during the first week
- Additional Information: Candidate may be required to float to other campuses, including the emergency department or critical care units, and may be placed on call during low census periods. ACU ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights; floating to critical care units is occasional for those with critical care experience. Every other weekend rotation in the ACU is required.
