Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse is needed for a seasonal travel assignment in a busy surgical unit. This role involves working a rotating schedule including day shifts and on-call duties, with a focus on providing excellent patient care in a high-acuity environment. The position requires adaptability and strong communication skills to ensure smooth surgical procedures and team collaboration.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, minimum of 1-year current hospital acute care experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, located within the area or able to commute, open to travel assignments
• Preferred Qualifications: Circulate and scrubbing experience, Meditech electronic medical record experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The OR unit includes 14 permanent staff nurses and multiple specialized teams covering neuro, cardiovascular, and general surgery. Procedures performed include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and spinal/orthopedic surgeries. Staff are experienced, with an emphasis on patient experience and effective communication. On-call duties are scheduled evenings and weekends, with unique schedule flexibility to attract candidates.
