Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves providing pre- and post-operative care to patients, with a focus on adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations. The position requires the ability to float between units as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient recovery management.

Job Details

Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Certified Post Anesthesia Care Nurse (CPAN) or Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse (CAPA), minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative or PACU settings, experience with Ambulatory and Outpatient care, ability to float between units, completion of references prior to submission, and full compliance with vaccination requirements including COVID-19 with booster (medical or religious exemptions only).
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support (CPAN), Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse (CAPA).
Additional Information: The unit primarily handles orthopedic cases but also manages endocrine, gynecology, pulmonary, plastic surgery, ECT, ENT, and pain injection cases. Staff will utilize equipment such as PCAs, PNIs, chest tubes, and various orthopedic braces. The position may require resources to be reallocated to different departments or facilities within a 75-mile radius, with RTO (leave requests) disclosed at the time of submittal and subject to approval.
