Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialist in the healthcare setting. This role involves providing specialized imaging-guided procedures and interventions, supporting inpatient and outpatient care for diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. The position offers a full-time schedule with consistent hours and requires proficiency in vascular access, ultrasound-guided PIV placements, and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, BSN degree, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Outpatient vascular access experience at a pediatric hospital and ultrasound PIV placement experience are required. Candidates must be able to float to other healthcare provider facilities within a 75+ mile radius.
• Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient experience, Emergency Department (ED) experience, and prior experience working in teaching hospitals.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Skills: Adult inpatient care, Air embolism management, Aseptic technique, Catheter-related procedures (including central lines and PICC), Infection control, Insertion and removal techniques, Imaging guidance (including ultrasound and X-ray), Management of dysrhythmias, Neonatal and pediatric patient care, Vascular access troubleshooting, and other advanced vascular access skills.
• Orientation: 8 hours of pre-start training, with potential early start upon approval.
• Travel Requirements: Ability to float between facilities within a 75+ mile radius; travel pairs allowed but typically not on the same unit.
• Start Date: 09/22/2026; End date: 12/15/2026.
• Additional Details: Candidates must have prior related experience, including vascular access and ultrasound-guided PIV placement, with flexibility for floating and emergency procedures.
