Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry in an acute care setting. This position involves delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patients. The travel nurse will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, with a basic dysrhythmia proficiency test administered during the first week. Passing this test is required to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit, ensuring competent monitoring of cardiac rhythms.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license or licensure verification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, AKLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, current EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 12 months, and the ability to self-study telemetry strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience and experience floating to Coronary Care Units (CCU) or emergency departments.
• Float: Float may be required and includes coverage on non-critical care inpatient units and the emergency department during periods of low census. Float to CCU may be required for those with critical care experience.
• Additional Information: The position supports a 36-hour workweek with an every-other-weekend rotation. The incumbent may be required to float to other campuses as needed and respond promptly when called in to work during low census periods.
