Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery registered nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing comprehensive perinatal care, including prenatal evaluation, intrapartum and postpartum care, as well as care for both well and premature newborns. The assignment duration is approximately 15 weeks, with shifts scheduled during daytime hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour daytime shifts with every other weekend rotation, totaling at least 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license as a registered nurse, current BLS (American Heart Association) certification, current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, and EPIC electronic medical record training. Candidates must have 3-5+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery, be comfortable working in the operating room, and have the ability to operate EPIC systems. The role requires the candidate to be separated from the organization for at least 6 months if previously employed or contracted here.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a maternal-newborn care setting.
- Additional Information: Biweekly orientation is provided. The position requires a flu vaccination during onboarding; declinations are not accepted. The hospital provides full scope perinatal care, including intraoperative care, postpartum, and special care for premature and newborn infants requiring higher-level support. Local candidates are accepted.
