Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in an unspecified location. This position involves supporting neurosurgical procedures, including complex spine, craniotomy, and neurovascular cases. The role requires flexibility in shifts, with both days and nights, and includes on-call duties and floating to other service lines as needed.

Job Details:

Schedule: Rotating shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Typically scheduled days are from 0700 to 1530 or 0700 to 1930, with night shifts from 2330 to 0700. Weekend rotations are every other weekend, consisting of 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (American Heart Association) certification; at least 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma setting; strong neuro, orthopedic spine, and craniotomy surgical experience; experience with neuro/ortho spine surgeries, multi-level spinal fusions, deformity corrections, spine tumors, complex craniotomies, neurovascular procedures, and neuro trauma; proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records; scrub experience highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro and trauma surgeries; strong neuro/ortho spine & craniotomy background; ability to float to different service lines within the facility; flexible on shift schedules including days and nights.
Additional Information: Must be able to respond within 45 minutes in case of trauma activation. The nurse may be required to support other service lines within the facility. Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) guidelines are relevant for trauma procedures.
