Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (ORT) in a healthcare setting. This role involves supporting surgical teams across multiple service lines, including ortho, general surgery, robotics, organ transplants, ENT, and pediatrics. The technician will assist during diverse surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Job Details:
- Certifications, education requirements, and experience: BLS (must be American Heart Association approved), VA registration required at submission, at least 2 years of experience including Level 1 or 2 trauma experience, and travel experience (at least 1-2 assignments).
- Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include assisting with surgical cases, maintaining sterile techniques, and supporting OR workflow.
- Additional operational details: Rotation to only if needed at specific facilities, floating as required based on case flow, and on-call shifts averaging 4 hours, with 3-4 weekday and 3-4 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule.
