Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This position involves providing patient care within a Med Surg/Tele unit that manages a diverse patient population, including GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, Diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/Stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The role requires working on a 12-hour day shift, with an assignment duration from September 21, 2026, to December 19, 2026, and may include working at least one major holiday.

Job Details

  • Responsibilities:
    Providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. The RN will assume charge responsibilities if required, with appropriate training and pay differential. This role involves collaboration with ancillary support such as lab services, EKG technicians, CNAs, and supply management to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Required Qualifications:
    A minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry; valid nursing license; skills checklist; experience with Cerner EMR preferred; understanding of patient populations listed above; ability to work 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; work history outlining all employment gaps over 90 days; and a copy of Nursys license.
  • Schedule:
    Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information:
    Travelers are expected to work at least one major holiday during the assignment. The unit has a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 and handles a variety of medical conditions. The healthcare facility is a teaching hospital where staff, including travelers, often interact with students and new hires. Submission requirements include detailed work history with at least 2 years of experience, skills checklist, and proper documentation including Nursys license.
