Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Telemetry registered nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role involves performing independent nursing functions, assessing patient health, developing and implementing care plans, and executing delegated medical tasks in accordance with state regulations. The RN will provide direct patient care, health education, and support to promote patient well-being within a clinical setting.

Job Details

  • Position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, monitoring health status through ongoing data collection and assessment.
  • Provides health teaching and health counseling to patients.
  • Executes therapy and treatment that supports and restores life and well-being, both directly and through consultation with or supervision of others.
  • Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
  • Documents clinical information in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
  • Uses available resources efficiently to ensure quality patient care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including the potential to float to other departments within scope of competency.
  • May be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: ASN Nursing degree from an accredited institution, current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing and relevant certification for specific units or services.
