Job Summary
Pediatric Psychology (PEDS PSYCH) Located at the Anschutz Medical Campus, this Pediatric Psychology role involves providing specialized psychiatric emergency care to pediatric patients. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients with complex psychiatric and behavioral health needs.

Job Details

  • Position Title: Psychiatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Shift: 12-Hour Days (6:45 AM 7:15 PM)
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, starting 09/22/2026 and ending 12/19/2026
  • Education: BSN, active RN license, minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience, with preferred experience in acute care, behavioral health, or medically complex settings
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); must be able to become certified in Safety Care, including the ability to move from seated to standing without assistance
  • Experience: Prior clinical experience with pediatric psychiatric emergency populations; competency with NG tube placement, monitoring, and maintenance; experience with medical, med-surg, or acute care, including vital sign monitoring and medical stabilization
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience supporting patients with complex psychiatric, psychological, and medical needs; ability to provide trauma-informed, patient-centered care; effective teamwork and communication skills; comfort working in a structured yet dynamic clinical environment; proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation
  • Float: Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence within thirty-five (35) miles of the originally assigned facility.
  • Special Requirements: No RTO approved within the first two weeks of assignment; medical and religious exemption requests from the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed.
