Step Down Unit Nurse, Nights This healthcare provider is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the unit specializing in step down care. The role involves managing typical step down patient conditions, including post-myocardial infarction with sheath pull, ADHD, postoperative vascular care, gastrointestinal bleed, and diabetic ketoacidosis, requiring the ability to titrate drips such as Nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene.

• Position: Step Down Unit Nurse
• Location: Not specified (general healthcare setting)
• Unit Notes: 18-bed Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU) providing specialized patient care with a ratio of 1:03
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a step down or similar environment
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Additional responsibilities: Manage typical step down patients, titrate drugs including Nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene, read strips, and utilize BiPap and Cpap equipment.
• Charting System: EPIC
• License to Submit: Yes
• Trauma Level: Care setting Acute

• Additional notes: This unit requires RN coverage on weekends and holidays, with a primarily float prn policy.
