Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Specialty in Open Heart is seeking a qualified Clinical Surgical Technologist (CST) with experience in open heart procedures to provide direct patient care within a cardiovascular operating room. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques, and supporting the surgical team in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), experience with open heart procedures, current license or certification as applicable, and at least 1 year of hands-on OR experience in a cardiac surgical setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery.
- Additional Information: The role involves supporting complex cardiac surgeries, including open heart procedures, and requires strict adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment. The position is scheduled to start on 10/11/2026 and end on 01/09/2027, with potential for extension based on unit needs and candidate performance.
