Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN in this location provides comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the childbirth process.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area for which they are applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations.
- Responsibilities include assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs; formulating and implementing care plans; providing direct patient care; and documenting care in compliance with policies and standards.
- The role involves supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel, promoting continuity of care, and participating in professional development activities.
- Additional information: The RN will interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members, perform all functions according to established policies and procedures, and support excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, and safe care.
