Description
Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU Cardiovascular (CVICU) Registered Nurse based in en_US to provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and cardiovascular conditions. The RN will work in a 15-bed unit with an average daily census of 10 patients, focusing on advanced therapies, mechanical support devices, and critical cardiac care.
Job Details
- Position: ICU Cardiovascular Registered Nurse en_US
- Location: en_US
- Schedule: Rotating day/night shifts, 3x12-hour days/nights (07:00-19:00/19:00-07:30), minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license for Maryland or an active Compact License, BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS certification, and 2 years of experience in critical care cardiology; experience with adult and geriatric populations
- Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification, community hospital experience, and trauma level I or II experience
- Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for bedside procedures such as arterial line management, chest tube insertion, and mechanical support devices including Impella and Ventilators. Floating within the specialty and lower acuity units as needed is required. Candidate must be comfortable with rapid response to emergent cardiac events.
