Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Winchester, KY
This position involves providing patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a community hospital setting. The role encompasses caring for adult and geriatric patients, including those recovering from general surgery and total joint replacements, with a focus on maintaining high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license as a registered nurse, current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, minimum of 2 years experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, and valid certification prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IVs, NG tubes, PICC and Central Line care, catheter care, post-operative care for general surgery, joint replacements, hernia repairs, and colectomies.
• Additional Responsibilities: Managing IV insertions, NG tube management, stroke care, post-operative surgical care, and patient monitoring using equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, JP drains, and Hemovac drains.
• Patient Population: Adults, including patients with COPD, Diabetes, Dementia, Dialysis needs, Stroke, NSTEMI, CHF, and A-Fib.
• Experience Requirement: 0 years minimum required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have required certifications prior to start and meet all clinical and operational requirements as outlined.
