Operating Room Technician specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVOR) is needed in Portland, Maine. This position involves supporting cardiac surgery procedures within the Surgical Technology field, with a focus on the operating room environment. The role requires a dedicated professional to work on a busy cardiac surgical team, providing essential technical assistance during complex cardiovascular cases.

- Certifications required: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- Education modules: Not specified.
- Current position involves working in the Operating Room with a team supporting cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including trauma cases.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for days, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for evenings, and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for nights. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Minimum experience requirement: 2 years of experience in surgical technology, particularly with Level 1 trauma cases, and familiarity with cardiac procedures.
- Responsible for assisting with equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and the Intuitive Robot.
- Requires flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and teamwork.
- Uniform: Teal scrubs issued from the hospital.
- Additional notes: The role includes supporting trauma calls, with scheduled call per specialty team rules, and backing fill for a departing surgical tech.
