Job Summary
The ORT (Operating Room Technician) position is based in the surgical specialty at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing safe patient care by assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining asepsis, performing scrubbing duties, and ensuring proper communication and equipment handling. The position requires collaboration with medical teams and participation in performance improvement activities.

Job Details

Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GED plus completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program or approved Surgical Technology training program through military training; NBSTSA-Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and BLS certification required; 0 years of experience minimum.
Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: The role requires cardiovascular (CVOR) and hybrid experience, with duties including maintaining asepsis, performing scrubbing duties, handling equipment, and supporting the surgical team. Must have NBSTSA certification and be able to work under stressful conditions, with frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is possible, along with the need to work weekends and holidays as department needs.
