Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) Portland, Maine. This position involves providing specialized support in the operating room environment, working with advanced surgical equipment and assisting in various surgical procedures. Job Details
- Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Location: Portland, Maine
- Schedule: Multiple shifts available Days (7 a.m. - 7 p.m., 36 hours/week), Evenings (11 a.m. - 11 p.m., 36 hours/week), Nights (7 p.m. - 7 a.m., 36 hours/week).
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification, relevant education, and at least 2 years of experience in a trauma or operating room environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general surgery, GU/GYN, orthopedics trauma, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, endovascular procedures.
- Responsibilities: Assist with surgical procedures, prepare operating rooms, manage surgical equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot, and maintain sterile environments.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must have experience working in Level 1 trauma settings. Floats may be required based on departmental needs.
