Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Rome, GA. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a Level 2 Trauma-designated facility. The role requires delivering clinical support across various specialized units, including medical-surgical, neurology, cardiac, and trauma, with flexible contract durations up to 13 weeks.

Job Details

• Position Description: RN in the Progressive Care Unit at a teaching hospital with a Level 2 Trauma designation and a comprehensive Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center.
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, CPI certifications, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and two years of experience in requested specialty.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Experience in ER skills such as arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips, CVP monitoring, and TPA administration is preferred. Nurses may be required to place Foley catheters. Support staff includes CNAs, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, educators, and virtual patient observers. EMR system is EPIC with department-specific equipment such as cardiac monitors, glucommander, specialty beds, ventilators, and Alaris pumps. Orientation includes a facility overview followed by unit-specific training.
• Floating: Floating rotation may be required to all med-surg and critical care areas, including ED boarders.
• Shift Times: 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with a 13-week schedule cycle.
• Additional Notes: Scrub color is navy, free parking available, and the department emphasizes teamwork, timely response, and patient-centered care.
