Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position available in the MS ONC specialty. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced oncology setting, supporting patients through assessment, education, and coordinated treatment plans. The RN will collaborate with the Radiation Oncology Team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The Radiation Oncology Nurse functions in a collaborative role with the Radiation Oncology Team, assessing patients and providing nursing interventions related to disease process, treatment, and follow-up. Responsibilities include patient education, counseling, and offering supportive functions to help patients and families cope with cancer diagnosis and treatment. The nurse participates in patient evaluation alongside Radiation Oncologists and acts as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments or groups.
  • Required Qualifications: Colorado license in good standing, BLS certification through American Heart Association, ACLS certification through American Heart Association, at least 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience (not Oncology RN experience), and experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Schedule: Working four days per week, 10 hours per day, on weekdays, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility. Applicants must submit a skills sheet, resume, BLS and ACLS certifications, and nursing license. The candidate should be adaptable, organized, and proficient in communication with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of current trends and evidence-based practices in hematology/oncology and internal medicine is required.
