Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Location: Not specified. This role involves providing critical emergency care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will manage diverse patient needs, including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma cases, ensuring safety, quality, and a positive patient experience.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for managing patient care in a high-volume emergency department that treats a wide range of medical conditions, from simple procedures to critical trauma cases.
- Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state or district; ER experience; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired; must live at least 100 miles away from the facility; Certifications include CPI (NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course), NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and ACLS.
- Schedule: 3 shifts, Nights, 12 hours each, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Additional Information: The ER involves managing critical skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions of blood, and chest tubes. The environment demands coordination and delivery of complex nursing care to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
