Job Summary:
A PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse is needed in a healthcare setting. This position involves providing post-operative care to patients recovering from various surgical procedures. The role requires a well-rounded RN with experience in all types of surgery and the ability to work flexible schedules on a temporary basis.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIH (National Institutes of Health) certifications, and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are required. Requires 2 years of PACU experience. Valid license in the state or a compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Must be open to working any day from Monday to Friday.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be flexible to work across various surgical cases including general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, gynecologic, urologic, cardiovascular, GI, ENT, thoracic, abdominal, vascular, plastic surgery, and more. Previous PACU experience is essential, with specific emphasis on caring for postoperative patients and managing airway assessments, cardiovascular stability, and ventilated patients. The unit is a 17-bed facility supporting a range of surgeries with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and radiology. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting, with first-time travelers requiring a minimum of 3 years of PACU experience.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to pre-screening questions, including prior work at a similar facility, and provide 2 references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
